The Only Independent Relief and Development Organization Within the Airline Industry

South Africa: March 24, 2010

March 24 - April 08, 2010

Coordinator:  Daniella Cracknell

For the first time in the history of Airline Ambassadors we will participate in the World Cup excitement! This spring volunteers and South Africans will build upon a common love of soccer as they come together and unite despite age, background or nationality.

South African youth and AAI members will "play with the professionals" as they share an amazing experience during our AAI-supported youth soccer camp hosted by Mosaic Farm, a private guest retreat and conservation reserve two hours Southeast of Cape Town. Right now it is crucial that the young people of South Africa are able to step up at leaders. Their work in social justice, education, disease prevention and poverty eradication will define South Africa's future as a global leader. As volunteers we will focus on healthy mentorship, constructive relationships, and strong leadership in order to empower those we work with. We will equip these young men and women with the skills and confidence necessary to engage and impact their community in a positive way. The trip will also include the opportunity for volunteers spend time at Simethemba, AAI's adopted orphanage, and enjoy South Africa's natural resources on a safari. Don't miss this chance to make a difference!
